The ride was difficult on the way up, but coming down we only had to pedal once during the entire 5km ride! |

Stopping to study the map once more since none of the directions were accurate! |

Kappelle Kronberg |
Today has been a mix of events. We started the morning early, leaving the hotel without breakfast by 6:45 and a plan to ride the train to Attersee to catch the ferry to Steinbach where we would visit the composing hut of Mahler. We found our way to the train station and waited for 30 minutes only to have the bus driver come over to tell us that the train isn't running right now so we would have to take a bus to Attersee. We got on the bus and arrived in Attersee with plenty of time to make the 9:15 ferry only to find out that the ferry isn't running right now due to the high water. We then got back on the bus to St. Georgen and returned to the hotel at 9:00 to have our breakfast (following another grocery store visit just for fun).
We decided to take an additional ride to Kappelle Kronberg in the afternoon. It was beautiful weather again, and despite some sketchy directions in our tour booklet, we arrived at correct destination and even found our way back to St. Georgen via a different route!
Tomorrow will be our longest ride of 40km from St. Georgen to Gmunden. We've heard that the town center of Gmunden is flooded but have also heard that our hotel, which is on the lake, is not flooded. We'll see tomorrow if all of this is accurate!

If you look right in the center of this photo you can see a church steeple that is in the center of St. Georgen just a few meters from our hotel. |

Map of the area where we rode today. "Standort" is where we were standing at Kapelle Kronberg and St. Georgen is the town where we rode from today. |
